Psychiatrist & Psychotherapist
Cognitive Behavioral Therapist

I studied medicine at Manipal University in Mangalore, India. Just after completing my medical studies, I got a prestigious grant from the German Academic Exchange Service to pursue research with new brain stimulation techniques at the Charité in Berlin. The results of our research project have been published in various peer-reviewed international journals.

During my clinical training at the Charité, I spent a couple of years working on a special ward for treatment-resistant depression. Here, I not only gained experience with psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment methods, but also with specialized treatments like ketamine infusions and various brain stimulation techniques. I worked in the outpatient department of the Charité and got a chance to work as a consultation-liaison psychiatrist. I also gathered extensive clinical and research experience in transcultural psychiatry. While working in Klinik Hennigsdorf, my focus was on acute psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry.

After completing my neurology rotation at Epilepsy Center Berlin-Brandenburg, I was in charge of a special ward for psychiatric disorders in patients with epilepsy and dissociative seizures.

My clinical experience covers a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders like depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, substance abuse disorders, dementia and schizophrenia. Parallel to my clinical training, I’ve also completed a 3 year certified training program in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) at IVB Berlin.

In October 2021, I founded my own psychiatric practice in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.
